چکیده

CO2 capture from gas turbine exhaust is a possibility for emission reduction on oil and production platforms. A standard process based absorption in monoethanol amine (MEA). challenge that the cost of size weight equipment higher than land-based process. into (MEA) simulated Aspen HYSYSTM. The was obtained In-plant Cost EstimatorTM. base case assumptions which are earlier works assumed to be close optimum with heat consumption 3.5 MJ/kg removed CO2. Different parameters as number stages column minimum temperature approach varied direction expected more an offshore application. It lower smaller exchangers even though will increase. Parametric studies were performed at 90 % efficiency. Suggested conditions application 87 efficiency 13 m absorber packing height 15°C due decrease cost, weight. This balance increase approximately 5.5 removed.

Estimation of Power Production Potential from Natural Gas Pressure Reduction Stations in Pakistan Using ASPEN HYSYS

Pakistan is a gas rich but power poor country. It consumes approximately 1, 559 Billion cubic feet of natural gas annually. Gas is transported around the country in a system of pressurized transmission pipelines under a pressure range of 600-1000 psig exclusively operated by two state owned companies i.e. SNGPL (Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited) and SSGCL (Sui Southern Gas Company Limited). T...

Analysis and Modeling of Vapor Recompressive Distillation Using ASPEN-HYSYS

HYSYS process modeling software was used to analyze the effect of reflux ratio and number of trays on the purity of ethylene in a vapor recompression distillation column and also in an ordinary distillation column. Analysis of data showed that with increased pressure a higher reflux ratio is needed to obtain a purity of 99.9% for both towers. In addition number of trays was varied to see its ef...

CO2 Capture from Natural Gas Combined Cycles

CO2 capture from fossil fuel power plants is increasingly proposed for greenhouse gases emission mitigation. It can be applied to coal power stations (with boiler and steam cycle or with gasification) or to natural gas combined cycles (NGCC). The first case is probably the most important in a mid-term perspective, due to: (i) the larger amount of avoided carbon per unit of electricity produced,...
